The Dingle Peninsula is blessed with having some of the most
inspiring scenery in Ireland. It’s scenic drives begin as you
come on to the peninsula from either the Killarney area through
Castlemaine or from Tralee to the north at Blennerville.
The combination of majestic mountains, rugged coastline and breathtaking Blasket Islands will leave you revived and ready to face the challenges of day to day life. With mountains as the backbone of the peninsula, the bays of Dingle, Brandon, Tralee and the Atlantic Ocean all combine to create an amazing kaleidoscope of colour and contrast. With drives including highlights such as the Conor Pass (Ireland’s highest mountain pass), Brandon Point, the Maharees, the picturesque village of Annascaul and it’s haunting lake, there is So much to choose from that you must stay a while to capture It’s entirety. Long sandy beaches are famous features to the Dingle Peninsula including Inch Strand, Coumeenole (famous film location of Ryan’s Daughter), Clogher Storm Beach, Beal Ban, Wine Strand, Stradbally and many more. Each have their own unique features, with shore angling, windsurfing, surfing, horse riding, and of course, swimming, to name but a few. |
